Weekend Notes: Nerves and Nice Surprises
What are you up to this weekend? Freddie and I just crossed a big milestone — he met my dad and brother for the first time. We were both so nervous beforehand (sweaty palms, overthinking every possible conversation scenario), but thankfully it all went smoothly. There were laughs, second helpings of dessert, and even a surprisingly passionate debate about baseball mascots.
Now I’m hoping for a quiet weekend — maybe a long walk, maybe some couch time with a book I’ve been meaning to finish. Whatever you’re doing, I hope you can carve out a moment just for yourself. Take it easy, and be gentle with your heart.
